Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Locus website, applications and services (the "Services"). By creating an account, subscribing or otherwise using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you are using the Services on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to bind that organisation.

01Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using the Services you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the Services.

02The Services

Locus provides location-intelligence tools, including the "Locus Score", market analyses, forecasts and reports, built from a combination of official public records, licensed datasets and our own modelling. The Services are provided to support your decision-making and are informational tools, not professional, legal, financial or investment advice.

03Accounts

You must provide accurate information when registering and keep it up to date. You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorised use. We may suspend accounts that appear compromised or in breach of these Terms.

04Plans, pricing & billing

• Subscriptions. Paid plans (Explorer and Pro) are billed in advance on a recurring monthly or annual basis until cancelled. Prices are shown in AED and are exclusive of, or inclusive of, 5% UAE VAT as indicated at checkout.
• No free trial. Paid plans begin immediately on subscription; access to results requires an active paid plan.
• Renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the then-current price for the same period unless cancelled before the renewal date. We will give reasonable notice of any price change.
• Payment. Payments are processed by Stripe. You authorise us (via Stripe) to charge your payment method for all fees due.
• Taxes. You are responsible for any taxes other than those we are required to collect under UAE law.

05Cancellation & refunds

You may cancel at any time through the customer portal or by contacting us; cancellation stops future renewals, and your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period. Except where required by applicable UAE consumer-protection law, fees already paid are non-refundable and we do not provide prorated refunds for partial periods. If you believe you were charged in error, contact grow@ampliouae.com and we will review it in good faith.

06Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Services unlawfully or in breach of UAE laws or regulations.
• Resell, sublicense, scrape, or systematically extract data or reports except as expressly permitted by your plan.
• Reverse-engineer, copy or create derivative works of the Services or our models.
• Interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Services or related systems.
• Upload unlawful, infringing or harmful content, or misuse the Services to harm others.

07Intellectual property

The Services, including the Locus Score methodology, software, models, design, text and brand, are owned by Locus and its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Services and to use reports you generate for your own internal business purposes. All rights not expressly granted are reserved. You retain ownership of the content you submit and grant us a licence to use it as needed to provide the Services.

08Data, scores & accuracy

Locus Scores, forecasts and reports are modelled estimates generated from public and licensed data and statistical assumptions. They may be incomplete, out of date or inaccurate, and actual outcomes will vary. You are solely responsible for your own due diligence and decisions. Locus does not guarantee any commercial result, footfall, revenue, yield or investment return.

09Third-party services

The Services rely on third parties (such as payment, mapping and hosting providers) and may link to third-party sites. We are not responsible for third-party services or content, and your use of them may be subject to their own terms.

10Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure.

11Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by UAE law, Locus and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any lost profits, revenue, data or business, arising from or related to your use of the Services. Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Services will not exceed the amount you paid to us for the Services in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

12Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Locus and its affiliates from any claims, losses or expenses arising from your misuse of the Services or breach of these Terms.

13Termination

You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, fail to pay, or where required by law. On termination, your right to use the Services ends; provisions that by their nature should survive (including IP, disclaimers, liability and governing law) will continue to apply.

14Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Dubai. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Dubai, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have. We may update these Terms from time to time; continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
